Just to add one thought to Sharon's note, I think it would help me in
looking at reporting software development if this subgroup would
consider focusing on (1) selecting a few reports as candidates for
initial prototypes, ideally reports that are not too complex but could
serve as somewhat representative examples; and (2) adding some schematic
detail to your requirements for those reports.  The latter would help us
understand things such as, what specific data elements are needed and
where do they come from, how should the data be transformed or
integrated, what would be requirements for the structure or format of
the report, etc.?
