    We have a range of cronjobs here which control notifications via print and
    EMail. For example: notifications for staff to control reservations are
    printed daily from 7am to 10pm every ten minutes:

    3,13,23,33,43,53 7-22 * * * /pica/mar/com/vormerkungen/submit_vormerkungen

    Notifications for the patrons are generally done via EMail and in real-time.
    (If the patron gets this notification in real-time is of course another question ...)
