Hello, everyone.

 

I’m gathering agenda items for this Wednesday’s meeting.  I have two already:

 

1.       I’ve been asked by the Reports SIG about whether – and how – we would want to use the reporting app for data inside the users app.  So we should think about that, and discuss it at the meeting.  And possibly start a list.  If we should start a Google doc for that, I can at least start it and we can add to it.

2.       I’ve been asked by the Data Migration subgroup about how we would manage college, department, and affiliation in the user record.  Are we looking at custom fields?  Someone on the group thought we were looking at tags for that.  I’ve been looking at the old meeting minutes, and what I find is a lot of discussion about bulk-loading of users, but not necessarily migration.  I’m going to try to find relevant documents and try to create a jumping-off point for a discussion, even if that discussion is five minutes of, “This looks good.  Show it to Data Migration.”
