I think we would definitely want to coordinate E-resource access discussions with the RM SIG and with the developers.

I’m not sensing a great clamor for a discussion this week in absence of a need for our input from Indexdata.  My inclination would be to cancel this week’s call, reclaim the time for other purposes, and regroup when we have a clear topic (or questions from the developers).

Any objections?

So far the SIG has focused on circ-related user management.  Is it time to discuss the electronic resource access authentication issues?  I imagine there would be a lot of overlap with Resource Management SIG and I’m not sure where they are on this.  Maybe Filip or Charlotte could advise.

Subject: What's next for UM-SIG?

Hi all,

It’s time to think about what’s next on the agenda for the UM-SIG.  We seem to have run through all of the content where EBSCO/Indexdata are looking to us for answers for the moment.

One possibility that came up on this week’s call would be to talk about best practices around feeds of user data and user provisioning, to see if we could converge our various institutions’ approaches into something more standardized.

Another possibility is that we just go on hiatus for a while.

Thoughts/opinions/suggestions?
