For today’s call, Filip would like to discuss workflow engines:
“At the next meeting for the UM SIG, I would like to discuss the concept of a library-wide workflow engine with you guys. If people can think a bit about which workflows happen automatically in systems, that one might like to tweak per
institution or over time, that would be a good basis for a discussion.”
My apologies for not getting this out sooner, especially since it’s something that can use a bit of forethought. I’ll bring examples of things we do at Cornell; we have some fairly extensive automation especially on the technical services
side of things.
