I had a conversation with Mark Deutsch who is here at Duke, and is the lead ERM UI developer (I think?) Mark said that deeper tags permissions were absolutely
possible – that they were in the underlying code – so if we’d rather use tags, we could surface feature requests for the permissions we’d want to have.
I’m trying to see if there’s anything anywhere that details tag permissions as currently implemented… will share if I can find it.

Hello, all.
Here is the discuss post:
https://discuss.folio.org/t/additional-fields-vs-custom-fields-for-statistical-fields-and-codes/2641
It's fairly bare-bones, but I think it has enough room for us to try out statistics in Inventory, and say what we need and whether the structure of the statistical fields in Inventory
can do the job.
