Hello, all.

I haven’t gotten to the discuss post I talked about earlier today, but there were two other things that I’d promised to share, and here they are.

This is the link to the first Discuss post, where we talk about which permissions to restrict.  At UChicago, we’ve got a permission set comprised of all permissions, so I thought I’d bring up the idea of which permissions ought to be restricted at a very basic level.  I wanted us to think about which permissions need to be restricted from nearly all library staff.

One of the things that we were interested in was a list of all permissions, so I’m attaching a python script that downloads the names of all permissions.  I’ll also attach a separate file that sorts and dedupes the permissions.  Since I’m not sure how everyone’s mail handler will like being sent an executable file, I’m renaming them filename-py.txt
