Hello Erin

There are plans to improve the UX for assigning permissions. Requirements have been written and we are waiting for the work to be prioritized. You can follow feature https://issues.folio.org/browse/UXPROD-240 for updates and requirement details.

Regards,

Khalilah

OK, I see that.

Is there any plans to improve that GUI? It seems a no-brainer to me to split permission sets out into their own drop-down, but I’d like to know what others think (or if anyone knows if that is planned.)

I’ve been working with this, and I’ve discovered that Folio will (at the current time) list everything together in that drop-down menu, whether it’s a permissions set or an individual permission.  I prefer to define a permissions set first.  Then, since you know its name, you will be able to find it in the Drop-Down Box of Eternity and add it to a user.

Hi all,

We are working on the gap analysis here at Duke. It appears like there is no way to apply a permissions set to an individual user through the GUI. You can apply individual *permissions*, but not permission sets. Is that correct, or am I missing something? If it’s not there, does anyone know if it’s captured in an existing Jira? My searching did not uncover anything.

Thanks!

Erin
