I have some more topics we could talk about. I'm sure we have enough material for the next meetings...

Up to now we cannot migrate the user passwords. How are we gonna handle this?
When importing, you can have the username in the JSON file, but no password yet. Which password do the patrons use to log in to the user account of the Discovery System?
We certainly don't want to activate the forgotten password link for all patrons…
In our current library system the date of birth can be set as default password when creating a new user. Patrons without birth date will get 010100 as their password.

Tags: You can assign tags, but you can't search for them.

Filter: inactive users - You can include inactive users, but you cannot explicitly search for inactive users. This was possible some versions before, but has been changed unfortunately.

Manual block: A free text must be entered here. It would make the librarians' work a lot easier if you could select the blocking reason here using a selection list. The free text field could then be filled alternatively or additionally.

However, I am not available next week because of the FOLIO days in Bremen :-) Therefore, it would be good if these issues were postponed. But I wanted to inform you, maybe you have already thought about it.

See you later!

I know I’ve been at this desk too long when I send a note to the wrong address.  Tania’s discussion points are ones I think we should address at Wednesday’s meeting.  So I hope to see everyone at the meeting tomorrow.

I think it’s pretty clear there will be a meeting Wednesday morning.  Here’s are some of the discussion points for tomorrow.

1.       We should talk about required data for the User Record.

2.       Manually marking a user active/inactive.

3.       Let’s go over the privacy issues Uschi discovered, and that we discussed last week.

4.       Which of these things require JIRA tickets, and we should prioritize them.

I look forward to seeing everybody tomorrow.

Subject: 2 topics for upcoming SIG meetings

1. What these fields in the User Record might be used for

(notices, screen display, etc) : Preferred First Name, Honorific, Siffix

2. Manually toggling a user active/inactive - how important is this ability for go-live, given the other ways that FOLIO can block a user from checkout, requesting, etc.  Can dev on the manual toggle be postponed?

At the moment I am able to attend a meeting on April 3 or April 10.
