The list started from Chicago’s list, I added things from Cornell, and Ingolf added in items from HBZ.  We tried to generalize it where appropriate (i.e. specifying the need to integrate with ILL systems, rather than just a specific one like Illiad).

So I think it’s sufficiently complete to be a working list for early adopters, at the very least.

Dale,

we discussed the list in the group. Way back in January, before the Madrid meeting.

I wouldn't edit the list now because Harry has already started reviewing it.

We can have Integrations as an agenda item again to see if something is missing for some institutions, but as I said I would leave this list as it is. Maybe next week when you go through the list with Harry each of you can think of what might be missing for their institution and collect that in a new list.

Ingolf,

How exhaustive is the list of integrations we created on the wiki? Do institutions need to review the list that for completeness, or has that already been done?

Hello all,

there was a lively discussion about our proposal for a Product Owner in the Product Council meeting today.

I don't feel myself able to summarize that whole discussion and also I don't want to report on opinions of individuals. But I think the general audience agreed that the SysOps SIG should have a PO. It was also said that there is an overlap with the Early Implementers group and that this latter group will have a big role when it comes to priorization. In general, having a PO will prevent that features remain unassigned - surprisingly, there seen to be a lot of features in Jira which are unassigned as of now.

It was said that the only obstacles for having a SysOps PO is a shortage of resources: both on our side (communication, time) and on the side of the POs (having a person to fill this position).

I summarize what we as the SIG have to do now:

- Harry Kaplanian will make "Epics" (a hierarchy level in the Jira) from our Backlog lines and will review with the SIG next Thursday in the SIG meeting. For your reference: The Backlog lines are in this spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15eO29vY2qp-FeUaoA292J-KwDy4c9z8dg-Pfp2fDymw/edit#gid=1185142304 , mostly in the "Library Dependent" tab. Keep in mind: These Backlog lines are only about Integrations !

I said this already in the PC but we should stress again, also in the meeting with Harry, that these are only our requirements for integrations and that we have more requirements that we need to get into the developing pipeline soon.

@Dale: please convene that session which will include the discussion with Harry, I will be absent. To all: Please take care that all our integration needs will be represented in the Epics that Harry will create. FYI: Harry has been called the "roadmap guy" of the project.

- We were asked to and I also consider this very necessary that we document our items / needs. I will continue to collect our issues on this Wiki page https://wiki.folio.org/display/SYSOPS/Action+Items+for+Development . I will also add more information in the descriptions column. But I feel that we should have a special meeting to review this list after I have collected what came to my mind there. Of course, it is in a Wiki, the others are invited to also edit this list. I will make a Doodle Poll for a special meeting concerning this list. I think we should have a special meeting before Thursday, I hope we will find a time for this. Actually, it's only possible on Tuesday or Wednesday. I think we should have a complete list of our current needs that we can present to Harry already on Thursday. This will give him (and Cate, others in the PC) a better impression of our needs and how they can help us with employing a Product Owner.

Best,

Ingolf
