Thanks, Sarah. Good points. One thing we could do is add a SIG round-robin as a standing item to the call agenda. Also devote a call to how member institutions are communicating about FOLIO across departments.
In the meantime, interested people can keep up with the Product Council’s discussions through that body’s minutes, at
https://wiki.folio.org/display/PC/Product+Council+Agenda+and+Minutes. Reports from the SIG liaisons have typically been crowded out by other business, but the new PC chair is
moving SIG updates closer to the top of the agenda—a good thing, in my view. The PC has also started reaching out to representatives from early implementer institutions (e.g. Chalmers) to sit in on the PC calls—another good thing.
Hope you can make today’s call.
Best,
Aaron

Hi Aaron and All,
I may not be able to join the call today – I have a meeting immediately prior on one campus and a meeting immediately after on a different campus. If I can, I will call in. One thing I’d love to see on a future
agenda is a round-robin of updates from those of us participating on the various SIGs. I’d also love to hear how other institutions are communicating out to their wider library staff regarding implantation of FOLIO, both within special collections and across
the library.
Thanks,
Sarah

Subject: SpecColl_Archives FOLIO SC&A call on Monday, September 17 at 2:00 PM Eastern U.S.
All,
We’ll resume our weekly calls this Monday, September 17 at 2:00 PM Eastern U.S. Brief agenda:
1. I’ve submitted the SC&A White Paper to the FOLIO PC. Final draft available at
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UUqL_oGvyGSonlfgUiS2pNpYrEYdgfKh2JFRppC1RCQ/edit.
2. The future of the SC&A WG. What should the SC&A group focus on going forward? Product demos? Product enhancements (e.g. for ArchivesSpace)? Conversations with vendors? With developers? Something else?
3. Other business (new FOLIO Web site to launch on September 17, WOLFcon-Lite being planned for Chicago in early 2019, etc.)
