All,
Some miscellaneous business from yesterday’s SC&A call.
1. We had been working on an open document to use in conjunction with the proposed pop-up session at SAA next month. Link:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LM33Z_8ZgwfGfa2sKMLL3cJQAdWmcsbuNkBRSfU4gVA/edit
Our pop-up session proposal wasn’t selected, but we still want input from the archives community. Is there interest in continuing to work on the open document, with a view to polishing it up and using it in conversations at SAA? Feel free
to e-mail the group or me individually.

Subject: Call to comment: ArchivesSpace documentation
From the SAA listserve:
###
The ArchivesSpace Users Advisory Council's Documentation sub-team is seeking input from the community in an effort to improve the application's documentation, which currently consists of the User Manual, screencasts, and video tutorials.
Are there any sections of the manual that you would like to see improved?
Are there features of the application you find difficult to implement?
Is there a new type of screencast you'd like to see?
Do you have an idea for a completely new way of documenting ArchivesSpace?
Please let us know! Use this
form to submit your comments and idea. (https://goo.gl/forms/7MFLUqIzeKY6iPeq1)
We will also be hosting on Twitter chat on August 8th from 11am-12pm PDT (2pm-3pm EDT) and 6pm-7pm PDT (9pm-10pm EDT). The chat will be hosted by
@ArchivesSpace. Please use the hashtag #aspacedoc to tag your questions/comments.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
ArchivesSpace Users Advisory Council's Documentation sub-team
