The download/upload fix does not work for me. Another person here can upload files to google drive just fine. I will likely have a couple dozen files to upload…

 

Are there any google drive experts that can chime in on this? Is there some configuration setup?

Hi again,

I solved the problems with the two files named: 

1. CORNELL - AprvInv Rpt by Title.pdf and
2. CORNELL - Material Paid w Split Funds.xlsx

by:

1. downloading the files to my laptop
2. move the originnal files to the subfolder 'Original documents'
3. upload the two files again to our shared folder: FOLIO > Reporting_SIG > library_stats > Acq_resource_mgmt > ScreenShot_examples

It seams to work now :-)

Please let me know if any of you know of a smarter way to work around this, or you experience other weird Google-ish problems.

Hi Lydia,

Thank you so much for adding all the new documents in the Reporting_SIG folder.

I have taken a quick look at the problem you describe. And I see for example five files uploaded in FOLIO > Reporting_SIG > library_stats > Acq_resource_mgmt > ScreenShot_examples

I can without any extra programs read and edit following three files in Google Drive:

• z_serials.xlsx
• NCSU_MonthlySerialsClaiming.txt - which I can open with Google Docs (this as an option in the top of the screen, I get a drop down menu). The original txt-file I have moved to the new subfolder 'Original documents'
• NCSU_FY_OrderlinesDelimitedOutput.txt - as above

The two files

1. CORNELL - AprvInv Rpt by Title.pdf and
2. CORNELL - Material Paid w Split Funds.xlsx

are somehow a little different. I can download and open them on my laptop. But I have to investigate why the two xlsx files act differently.

I'll get back as soon, as I can.
