Reporting SIG,

Hi folks. As we discussed in the most recent Reporting SIG meeting, we need at least 3 volunteers from the Reporting SIG to form a subgroup to research data privacy needs for FOLIO reporting. As we build the FOLIO reporting infrastructure, it is important that we keep the data compliant with data privacy requirements such as GDPR. Nassib and I can act as consultants if you are looking for ideas to get started on this, but we do not have the cycles left to take on this effort. We do need your help.

Angela Zoss suggested doing a survey to gather data privacy concerns/requirements from FOLIO participants, which I think is a great idea. I would imagine this small group researching requirements/issues/considerations and creating a page in the Reporting SIG wiki that our reporting architects can use. You may have a lot of other great ideas about how to get this done, which would be super. I see this effort as time-limited and focused on the goal of creating some solid recommendations.

Please let me know if you would be willing to serve on the Data Privacy Subgroup of the Reporting SIG. Your efforts would be greatly appreciated, and it is important that we accomplish this.
