Hi Marie,
I'm not sure if anyone has gotten back to you, so I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate reply.
FOLIO is using a design that is different from other library automation systems in that the platform is made up of apps that have functional boundaries based on the business objects we work with. For instance, there is an app in development for purchase orders and another app in development for vendors and yet another for packages. Records in each of these apps are linked together to represent activities that libraries do. In the case of electronic resource management, the project is just thinking of it as "Resource Management" with some specialized apps for electronic items and some specialized apps for physical items.
For version 1, there is work underway in acquisitions for:
* Fund Management
* Vendors
* Purchase Orders
* Holdings (including Receiving)
* Invoicing and Payment
There is also a team working with the EBSCO Knowledge Base as a way to develop apps for electronic resources. Others would be able to take that same programming design and apply it to other knowledge bases.
We know we will need additional apps for business objects like licenses, but those are not yet on the development calendar.

Hi,
I have a question for the webinar Nov 1.
It would be very interesting to learn what electronic management features are planned for v1. How will the integration with EBSCO (and/or other) knowledgebase(s) look like? Will the ERM info have a connection to suppliers/packages/titles in the knowledgebase in terms of managing licenses, purchases, renwals and other management information, or will it be handled in another fashion?
Best regards
Marie
