Good morning,

We won’t be having a meeting tomorrow because of the Codex discussion. I’ll see some of you there. Meanwhile, Charleston is accepting proposals for the 2017 conference, November 6-10: https://www.charlestonlibraryconference.com/call-for-papers/

Rachel Fadlon at EBSCO can help coordinate any submissions, so I’ve cc’d her on this email. Jesse Koennecke from Cornell intends to submit a proposal. It will cover:

·         Challenges and gaps of existing library tools

·         How FOLIO will address those gaps and challenges

·         Why Cornell is interested in FOLIO

If you are interested in submitting something, here are some ideas:

·         Updates on RM SIG activities, and developments in the acquisitions functionality and workflows

·         Problems that you think FOLIO will solve

·         Why your institution is committed to FOLIO

It might make sense to partner with Jesse. If you do want to submit something, please contact Jesse and Rachel. I don’t anticipate going to Charleston, but I can provide assistance to the development of a presentation. I will, however, be out next week, with inconsistent access to email, so I won’t necessarily be able to read over the proposal, although you are welcome to CC me.

Sorry about the late notice, this got dropped with all of the ALA activities.

Kristin
