Hi Kristin,
I’ve shared the document with our invoicing folks and asked for additional comments. I vote for taking a break from meeting until the data model has been developed a little further and we’ve gathered more input
on the invoicing document.
Thanks,
Eric

Subject: [folio-rm-t] Upcoming meetings
Hi folks,
Thanks so much to Kathryn for putting together the revised invoicing document:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1V_PeTvrVMzxIwogcrmjlk7mwLPN9k7-rDf8m1SWe7sk/edit?usp=sharing. For those people at institutions who invited invoicing specialists, could you please share with them? Now, we have some decisions to make regarding meeting.
Filip is requesting a few weeks away as he works on a strategic plan to expand the UX/UI component across the project and scale up as the functional design across multiple areas intensifies. For those of you new to the SIG and to FOLIO,
Filip is currently the main UX/UI developer, but a few weeks ago he presented to us his proposal to scale up and make the team bigger, since, as one person, he cannot do everything. He is working on documentation and plan for doing that.
Cate Boerema and Vince Bareau of EBSCO are continuing to work on the data model. Cate told me that she is working on a presentation which summarizes in words some of the concepts that are described in Vince’s diagram, but the presentation
is not quite ready. When it’s ready, she would like to present it to the RM and MM SIGs in a joint meeting. It will also lay the groundwork for a detailed discussion of the specific data elements we want to collect at the various levels of the resource hierarchy.
We could continue to discuss with Vince or wait until this presentation is ready for further discussion.
Cate also mentioned that considerations for modeling acquisitions data will be coming soon as the project team is scaled up, but they are not ready for that discussion yet.
I am thinking at this point, we should put a hold on meetings until the project team is ready for further discussions and in place to translate our discussions into design and development. I don’t know that we need to discuss the model
further with Vince at this point, and can wait until the joint Metadata Management/Resource Management meeting, but I’m open to other suggestions. Regarding invoicing, I would appreciate it if you could share with the invoicing experts to enter additional
information and comments in the document. I think we could probably refine this outside of a meeting. But I’m also open to meeting again with our invoicing experts. We could do this on this Friday or next Friday, depending on their availability.
Please let me know you thoughts about discussions around the data model and invoicing.
Thanks,
Kristin
