Hi RA-SIG!
Yesterday we worked on patron blocks and check-out. While it is probably non-standard to
exchange the item-area with a list of blocks (if there are any), perhaps accordeons could
work:
How about showing two accordeons on the right hand side of the check-out screen:
- "blocks" at the top: usually collapsed, expanded if there are blocks in effect
- "items" below: always expanded by default. Perhaps a recycled version of the
accordeon-list we discuss for the user app.
A popup could additionally alert staff about existing blocks.
To avoid the "unexpected", the "scan" button could be disabled, if blocks exist.
The list of blocks could show the cause of each block in a privacy compliant manner and
provide a clickable link to the place/app for solving the underlying problem.
What do you think?
Carsten
