HI RA-SIG,

when fees/fines reach a certain limit (€ 10) here, after a certain period of time (6 weeks) they get transferred to the state finance office. At the same time these patrons are being blocked (outstanding fees/fines) by the system. Our internal finance office in turn unblocks the patrons after they have paid and this is reflected by the integrated finance system (SAP).

The reason behind this is, that large amounts of unpaid fees/fines should block a patron from using library services even after they have been transferred out of the system's (ILS, LBS) scope.

I suggest to put this functionality in the parking lot.
