The FOLIO Community will hold an election for our inaugural Community Council (CC) from February 26-March 12. Seats on the Community Council are available to Members of the FOLIO community, in accordance with the FOLIO Governance Model. A Member is defined as an individual who is an employee or a sponsored contractor of a Member Organization. The Council will have 15 members. For this first election, 8 members will serve for 2 years, 7 will serve for 1 year. Any Member Organization is eligible to have a maximum of one member on each Council. If more than one individual from an organization is nominated and receives enough votes to be in the top 15 results, the higher vote recipient will be elected.

Leadership experience with non-profit organizations
Strong collaborative skills who are able to drive decisions that champion the interests of the community and project
Participating in and/or managing open community governance
Library management systems and library workflows
Planning software development projects
Agile software development methodologies, including Epic, Feature and Story creation
Knowledge of recent library operations and future needs
Experience with defining functional requirements and understanding of technical requirements
Your Name, Member Organization, and statement will be included on a publicly viewable election page. Nominations for the CC election are due by February 25th, 2021.

Voting will occur between February 26 and March 12. Anyone with an active account on wiki.folio.org, issues.folio.org, or on the FOLIO Slack will be eligible to vote.
