Our RA meeting may have been canceled yesterday, but there's still one announcement I wanted to make. In order to have some much-needed conversations around item status and item state, I'd like to create a cross-SIG subgroup, with members of the RA, MM and
RM SIGs discussing the following topics:
- custom item status
- permissions around changing item status
- the three-part item state, and how these fields can represent staff workflows
- logging item status changes
- UI for changing item status (individually and in bulk)
For time commitment, I'm hoping we can find one hour a week for two people from each SIG (six members total) to meet, and members might be asked to contribute up to an additional hour of their time preparing for those meetings by reviewing documents or
providing feedback.
I'm seeking three volunteers from RA (two, plus one backup in case there's not a meeting time that works for the original two). I'd like to send out a Doodle poll to find a time this week, and start meeting next week.

slides when I asked for volunteers from RM, and they may be useful as well.) I'll send out another email Thursday if it looks like we need more volunteers.
