Hi Patty,
Thanks for volunteering! I am curious, what do you see as the priority area of focus for data migration?
How much of your time will you allocate to this role? Can you please add your name to this page:
https://wiki.folio.org/display/COMMUNITY/Directory+of+Product+Owners+by+Area+of+Focus
Thanks,
Cate

Subject: Product Owner for data migration
I am writing to you on behalf of the Migration Subgroup of the SysOps SIG, which is convened by Dale Arntson and is a subgroup of the SYSOPS SIG, which is convened by Ingolf Kuss.
The Migration Subgroup needs a dedicated product owner to interface between the development community and our requirements for loaders and other tools that are going to help all implementers to populate a FOLIO instance successfully.
Currently, we see the need to write up the stories that are attached to UXPROD-850. Our group is trying to develop requirements for the various loaders, but without a Product Owner we don’t have the insights into the project that other
SIGS do and we don’t have access to developers or designers. We see a need to prioritize these loaders for the early implementers and the rest of the project.
I understand the role of the Product Owner is to articulate the requirements, have them validated by the SIG, and communicate effectively with development staff, and the time commitment required. I have volunteered for the position and
have the support of the group.
Ingolf and Dale would like to make the announcement of my taking this position at Thursday’s PC meeting.
Thanks,
Patty Wanninger
