Hi,
Over the next few months, the FOLIO marketing team will be working to build a new website, with the goals of being easier to navigate, of having a unified navigation
bar across all our communication channels, to make FOLIO real, and to make it clear how libraries, developers and vendors can learn more and get involved.
As part of that effort, the team has also looked at the overall branding. We took what we currently have and tweaked it. We have slightly updated the colors, added
secondary colors and have worked hard to come up with a new logo.
When thinking about new branding, our creative goals were to show:
We had two additional goals:
The marketing team based its decision for the on the goals above. We currently use a honeycomb in the design of the website and other collateral, which we will keep.
We thought the logo should connect to the honeycomb idea, so we went with a bee!
In our opinions, it matches what we wanted the logo to say and speaks to the idea that it takes a whole hive to build our project. Plus, the amount of bee puns that
we can use to talk about the project is limitless!
We are deciding between two variations of the bee logo mark and would like your input to make the final decision as to which bee you would prefer.
Please vote here for your favorite option by Friday, February 2nd.
Thank you,
The FOLIO Marketing Committee
