The
Future of Libraries Is Open: Come See FOLIO, the New Open Source Library Services Platform
Wednesday, December 4, 2019
2-3 PM ET / 11 AM-12 PM PT
Have you heard the buzz? FOLIO is live! Have you wondered what this open source library services platform looks like? Based on a flexible microservices architecture, FOLIO offers choices for library staff
managing back-office operations. FOLIO also supports external integrations with patron discovery interfaces, self-checkout kiosks, vendor order sites, campus financial systems, and other services.
The global FOLIO library, support, and development community is growing rapidly and is open for anyone to join, whether it’s to get information or to contribute ideas and work (https://www.folio.org/).
Ann-Marie and Khalilah will share a bit of the history of FOLIO, demonstrate key functionality, and discuss how you and your library can get involved.
